Dawn Ragan, Managing Director, Bridgepoint Consulting LLC has been elected Treasurer and Secretary and a member of the Board of Directors for the Turnaround Management Association, Dallas Chapter.

Bridgepoint Consulting has named Gina Budd as Director of Marketing. Budd will be responsible for all marketing strategies, including branding; communications; new market initiatives; and social and online media at Bridgepoint.

Bridgepoint Consulting has named David Roe as Director of the Governance Risk Management & Compliance practice. David has provided finance and accounting management, internal audit, and risk assessment and management with Fortune 100 and emerging companies. He brings 25 years of experience to Bridgepoint and its clients.

Bridgepoint Consulting has named Ken Bartley as CFO Consultant. Ken brings to Bridgepoint a proven track record with venture-backed companies in both high growth and turnaround situations. He’s a four time CFO achieving successful liquidity events, maximizing revenue growth and leading equity and debt funding transactions totaling more than $80 million.

Bridgepoint Consulting has named Shelly Hobbs as Manager, Governance Risk Management & Compliance practice. Shelly has provided finance, accounting, and internal audit work with Fortune 100 and emerging companies and brings this valuable experience to Bridgepoint.

David brings to Bridgepoint a wealth of experience and leadership as a company founder, four-time CFO, investment banker, and mergers and acquisitions veteran.

Ms. Ragan will join Bridgepoint's leadership team in the firm's Business Turnaround & Restructuring Services group, and work with Bridgepoint clients in restructuring, bankruptcy, and matters involving dispute resolution. "She is a tremendous addition to our team of professionals. Her 20+ years of working with complex bankruptcy and litigation matters is invaluable to clients who draw upon her expertise," said Bill Patterson, Bridgepoint Consulting principal.

Bridgepoint Consulting, LLC’s co‐founder, Gerry Bula, is stepping down from his role as principal. Bob Smith, co‐founder and principal, and Bill Patterson, principal, in addition to the firm’s practice group leaders, will assume Bula’s management duties.

Bridgepoint Consulting LLC, a professional services and consulting firm, named Manuel Azuara principal. Azuara joined the firm in 2009 as a chief financial officer.

As a leader in the firm’s CFO Services group, Azuara has contributed significant growth to the practice since joining the firm in February 2009.

The federal government has passed a $700 billion bailout of the financial systems. While a step in the right direction, it will not solve any problems immediately. Longer term, the odds are that the economy will get much worse before it gets better.
