Bridgepoint Consulting Names Karen Mellon Director of Finance
February 15, 2016 (Austin, TX) – Bridgepoint Consulting, a leading Texas-based finance, IT and management consulting firm, announced today that Karen Mellon (formerly Grimes) has joined the firm as Director of Finance. In this role, she will spearhead Bridgepoint’s internal accounting operations and infrastructure, including financial reporting, accounting system implementation, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets.
Mellon brings more than 20 years of senior financial and operations experience in the private and public sectors, and has an extensive background working with growth companies in various industries. Her specialties include financial management and reporting, cash flow forecasting, revenue recognition, multi-national operations, growth initiatives, and staff development.

Most recently, Mellon served as a Senior Finance Consultant for Bridgepoint, providing interim controller and CFO services for Austin clients. Prior to joining the firm, she held several executive roles with growth companies, where she managed million dollar budgets and led finance, accounting and human resources departments.
Mellon earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Business Management from the Rochester Institute of Technology and is a member of the Austin Professional Women’s Association “APWA”.
