What is your role at Bridgepoint? I’m the firm’s HR Manager

How did you decide upon a career in consulting? Why Bridgepoint? Bridgepoint has such an incredible reputation in Austin. I enjoy being a part of a company that supports companies through challenging times.

What’s your favorite aspect of your job? I really enjoy working with consultants. I feel as though I’m able to contribute to the help they are bringing our clients, by supporting them. It’s amazing to hear about the impact that they are making at their clients, and I enjoy being a part of that.

What has been your favorite memory/achievement while working at Bridgepoint? The Holiday Employee Party in December was a lot of fun, and I started just in time to help plan it. It turned out to be a great event, and it was a blast spending time with and getting to know folks- especially the consultants that I don’t get to see that often.

What is the toughest part of your job? I have so much I want to accomplish and do here. There are many open doors, and with time, I know I’ll be able to really make some noticeable changes. But I just need to remind myself that I can’t do it all, at least not all at once!

What gets you excited about going to work each day? I never know what my day will bring and I love it! I enjoy the uncertainty and being able to help wherever I can.

What do you like to do in your spare time? What are some of your hobbies? I love being outside, going for walks, hiking the state parks and spending time with my family. My 3-year-old son Bryson keeps me busy, but he is such a joy!

What’s the craziest thing on your bucket list? I would love to go sky diving!

What is one fun fact that would surprise people? I’m 100% Dutch! Both my parent’s parent’s came over to the US from the Netherlands when they were young and settled in the Chicagoland area. I was born to the 1812 Overture (the part where the cannons go off). I was the third child, and my dad had planned on bringing a tape with that song on it so he could play it while my mom was in labor. He forgot the tape, but turned the classical station on the radio, and while my mom was having me the 1812 overture came on. Let’s just say I came out with a bang!
